Immediate contract available at Haresfield

  • Starting from (new to care) £11.75 per hour
  • Paid break
  • Level 3 qualified £11.90
  • Bank Holiday pay (time and a half)
  • Full or part time available

Please note - All employee's are required to attain Level 3 Diploma for Residential Care within 2 years of their start date. This can be completed as an apprenticeship which can be funded by us through our Autonomy Academy.

About us

Haresfield is a specialist residential home for young people aged eight to eighteen, with learning disabilities, complex needs, and behaviours that may challenge. Based in the Wiltshire countryside near Chippenham, Haresfield has five en-suite bedrooms suitable for any gender. Individual needs are at the centre of our practice, and we listen and respond to the individual’s voice when planning their care. Achieving positive outcomes is paramount to us.

A day in the life of a Residential Child Care Worker

  • Days and Bank roles available
  • Day shifts term time weekdays 7am - 11am
  • Afternoon shifts term time weekdays 2.00pm - 9.30pm
  • Day shifts school holidays and weekends 7am - 2.00pm
  • Afternoon shifts school holidays and weekends 2.00 pm - 9.30pm

About you

We are looking for people who:

  • Have experience working with children and young people or adults with complex needs and behaviours that challenge
  • Hold a valid driving licence with access to a vehicle
  • Live within a 20-mile radius of Chippenham, Wiltshire
  • Due to regulatory requirements, we are unable to accept applications from people under the age of 20. (Exempt under the Equalities Act 2010, Schedule 9 part 1)
  • Caring and respectful enabling the people we support to have a high quality of life and make their own decisions
  • Flexible, adaptable and willing to go the extra mile if it means making a positive difference to someones life
  • Enthusiastic with excellent communication skills committed to developing positive working relationships

Training and Development

  • Funded apprenticeships and diplomas
  • QCF (NVQ) Level 3 available (fully funded)
